Your website has been optimised for search engines using relevant keywords and phrases, but the key to the best SEO is to be relevant and up to date. Your website allows you to easily update your site “Meta data” (the keywords and key phrases) at any time, and to tailor them specifically for each individual page.
When you open the CMS editor the first thing you will see is the Meta data for that page.
- Title: As well as being used in search engines, the Title is displayed in the top of the browser window when you are viewing the page, and is also used when users add that page to their “favourites”.
- Description: The description is the description about your site that is displayed in search engines.
- Keywords: The keywords are phrases that search engines will consider when they are deciding if your website is relevant to a searcher’s query. Remember to save any meta-data changes before navigating away from that page.
