There are three types of links you might want to add to the content of your website:

External links (to someone else’s website), internal links (to another page in your own website) or document links (to a document you have uploaded). For all options, you must first highlight the text you would like to become a link, and then proceed:

External Links
  1. First highlight the text you would like to become a link.

  2. Click on the “Hyperlink Manager” button to open the hyperlink manager window:

    • Type: Usually http

    • Url: Type in the full website address that you are linking to

    • Link Text: This is the text that you highlighted

    • Target: Set to “New Window” if you are linking to someone else’s website

    • Existing Anchor: Usually None*

    • Tooltip: What will be displayed if someone hovers over a link

    • CSS Class: Apply a predefined style to the link

    • Alternatively you can click on the “E-mail” tab and set up a link to someone’s email address

You can also use the “Anchor” tab to define a point in the text box that you can link to from somewhere else in the same text box. This reduces the amount of scrolling for the visitor.

  3. Click “OK” and your link will be inserted into the text you highlighted, or click “Cancel” to leave without saving the changes.

Internal Links

  1. First highlight the text you would like to become a link.

  2. Click on the “Custom Links” dropdown to select the internal page or service you would like to link to. You are given three choices:

    • Links to page… Link to another page on your website

    • Links for bookings… Link to a bookable service you have set up

    • Insert bookmark link to… Link to another text box (T1 - T11) on the same page

  3. Click on the + next to the one you choose to be given a full list of options, then click on
the page/service/text box you would like to link to and the link will be inserted into the
    text you highlighted.

Document Links

  1. First highlight the text you would like to become a link.

  2. Click on the “Document Manager” icon to open the Document Manager window:

Click “Upload” to upload a new document:

Click “Browse” and locate the document on your computer. If you have already uploaded a document of the same name and you would like to overwrite it, click “Overwrite if file exists”. Then click “Upload” and you will be taken back to the document manager. If you change your mind, click the green “Upload” button at the top of the window to be taken back to the document manager, or click “Cancel” to close the window and go back to editing your page.

  3. Once you have uploaded your file you will be taken back to the document manager. Simply select the correct document and click “Insert” and link will be placed in the text you had highlighted.
